This piece is inspired by a poem Charlotte wrote while contemplating the value of righteous anger. A visceral response to the ongoing erosion of women’s rights, the societal pressure on women to be overly humble or sweet, and the tendency to teach our girls to hide ‘negative’ feelings such as anger; righteous anger.
 
She doesn't ignore her sadness,
Doesn't fight her anger, Or hide her fear,
Nor does she become her feelings.
She accepts her pain, and she howls.
Her voice fills the world with colour and life.
She howls for every she-wolf who has not yet learnt to howl.
 
With ‘With Colour and Life’, Charlotte wanted to explore the strength of a single voice, and how one woman can ignite change and inspire collective action.
